Next week, we're hosting our biggest event yet. It’s a party, but I hate calling our events that. It feels reductive. We’re bringing the community together, not “partying.” Save partying for the promoters.
Anyway.
Our upcoming event is a Halloween with a New York City theme. It’s going to be a big one. Topo Chico, Lantern Beverages, and Peter Pan Donuts—among others—are helping bring this event to life.
I'm going as Christopher from The Sopranos.
After struggling to choose my own, I thought I'd share some options for anyone still scrambling:
A pigeon dressed as a New Yorker.
They have a sense of humor too.
The ghost of Williamsburg gentrification.
Dress as a ghost wearing a fedora, skinny jeans, and carrying artisanal coffee. Maybe add fake tattoos and a vinyl record.
A Soho brand activation.
Perhaps a giant QR code suit with limited-edition merch bags. Sunglasses feel like they have to be part of the fit too.
Somebody from Staten Island.
Enough said.
A subway delay.
Wear a broken clock necklace and carry signs that say "signal malfunction." To be true to reality, wear a giant G on your forehead.
